Anxiety Therapy in Nashville, TN
When your mind won’t slow down, you deserve a place where it can.
The workday ends, but your thoughts keep going. You replay what you said in the meeting, rehearse tomorrow’s conversations, and run through every what if before you can fall asleep. It’s a kind of tired that’s hard to explain to anyone else.
I see adults from all over Nashville at my office in Brentwood, just down I-65 in Maryland Farms. It’s a quiet, unhurried space where you can take a real breath and feel heard.

You’re far from the only one
If you’ve been wondering why you can’t just relax the way everyone else seems to, please know how common this is. The National Institute of Mental Health says about a third of adults in the U.S. experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives.
That isn’t a weakness. It usually means your nervous system learned to stay on guard, often for very good reasons. The hopeful part is that a nervous system can learn to feel safe again, and that’s exactly what we’ll work on together.
Relief for right now, and deeper healing too
Our work usually has two layers, and both matter.
The first is relief. You’ll learn simple, practical tools for the moments anxiety starts to build, like breathing that truly calms your body and gentle ways to step out of a thought spiral. These are skills you can take home and use right away.
The second is deeper healing. Racing thoughts often grow out of older experiences your mind is still trying to protect you from. With EMDR and Brainspotting, we can gently process what feels stuck, so those old alarms quiet down and you can respond to today instead of the past. I’ve written more about how EMDR and Brainspotting can help with intrusive thoughts.
What a session feels like
You’ll settle into a calm, comfortable room, and we’ll start wherever you are that day. Sometimes that means talking through your week and learning a new skill. Other times it means using EMDR or Brainspotting to work with something that’s been weighing on you.
I’ll check in with you often about what you’re noticing, in your mind and in your body. You’re always in charge of the pace, and it’s always okay to pause. There’s no rush here.

Getting here from Nashville
My office is at 103 Continental Place, Suite 204, Brentwood, TN 37027, just off I-65 near Old Hickory Boulevard. From downtown Nashville it’s about ten miles south, and the drive can become a nice buffer: a few minutes to shift gears on the way in, and a little quiet time to let things settle on the way home.
I see clients Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. EMDR and Brainspotting happen in person, where I’ve found they’re safest and most effective. Sessions are $195, and while I don’t bill insurance, I’m glad to provide a superbill so you can seek out of network reimbursement.
Questions you might be asking
-
Yes, it really can. Overthinking is often anxiety’s way of trying to keep you safe by solving every problem in advance. We’ll start by helping your body calm down, since a calmer body makes room for a quieter mind, and then gently look at what’s fueling the worry underneath.
-
Absolutely. Along with the deeper work, I’ll teach you coping skills for anxiety, from breathing exercises to new ways of looking at a worried thought, so you always have something to reach for. You’ll find some of these ideas in my post on coping with anxiety.
-
It truly is. So many people with anxiety keep showing up beautifully on the outside while feeling worn out on the inside. You don’t need to reach a breaking point to deserve support. Wanting to feel better is reason enough.
-
When it comes to anxiety, everyone is different, and it’s such an individual process. You’re the expert on you, so I’ll count on your honest feedback about what’s helping, and we’ll shape the work around that.
-
Absolutely. I’ve worked with several combat Marines and special forces, as well as support personnel.
